I have a judgment against me that i feel is being handled wrong.?

capital one was awarded a judgment against me for 2400.00 plus 22% interest from November of 2008 until current. even with my best efforts i have not been able to come to an agreeable payment plan with their attorneys. they are claiming i owe them 5800.00 as of now. im not a mathematician but i don't believe 2400 can turn into 5800 in 9 months at 22%. On top of that the lawyer is placing it on my credit every month as a past due bill which i half expected. What i don't think is right is capital one is also placing it on my credit as if it were an active card. so now the same debt is showing up twice every month as a late and unpaid bill. Is that legal? if not what do i need to do? i cant really afford a lawyer unless they can really do something other then tell me there's nothing they can do.. and as far as the debt, i realize i owe the money and am trying to pay it but i don't have the money laying around and they will not accept a payment plan. do you have any advice? i live in ohio if that makes any type of diffrence. thanks for your help
