Intuition and the water houses (4th, 8th and 12th) (also possibly 1st?)?

I think the 12th house Sun and Mercury in Scorpio are a big factor here for you. The Scorpio rising and Neptune in 1st also help. So does 8th house Moon. I'd actually never heard that rising sign can indicate intuitiveness before, but I suppose that since it acts like a filter for what you put out for the world to see, it could also have something to do with how you filter what's coming in to you from the outside influences in your environment. Having air sign placements on your water houses and particularly your Gemini Moon in 8th, can indicate flashes of insignt in these areas, which could lead to intuitiveness when combined with the water in your chart. The ruler of your 8th is in the 12th, that's another indicator. There may even be more indicators in the chart. The ruler of your 9th house of higher learning is in the 8th house, which could point to an interest or even an emotional affinity somehow in advanced study of 8th house ruled topics. There may even be more indicators when you factor in aspects and all the rest.
