Have Christians forgotten about the morality of mercy? Can we be moral and merciful? Why all the hate?
It seems to me that Christians have forgotten about Jesus' teachings about love and grace. Instead the religion has become about condemnation, when Christ himself said he did not come to condem, but to redeem. We forget that while we were still sinners Christ saved us. He told us to provide for the needy. So why is it so hard for Christians to look in our country, see suffering and at least support help for those in need? Instead we point the fingers and say what those in need should have done and they don't deserve our help. What in the Bible supports that? We are supposed to treat others like Jesus sees us. He looks beyond our faults - we all have them and sees our needs. So whats up with all of this hate? Righteousness should be humble not proud.
