Yesterday I was watching a dog Show ?

There are many reasons the judge is feeling the dog, they are looking for bone placement and such. For many long haired dogs it is hard to tell until you feel them. Also the dog is supposed to be willing to be touched easily by strangers. Each dog has conformation standards set by the AKC. You can go to the AKC.org web site to see the standards for each breed
